atlantablackI am here to have a good time (ie: cry scream have a meltdown over the silly little fictional people I'm emotionally attached to) - I'm mainly active on Tumblr but have decided to check it out over here as well - at the moment I'm moving over all of my web weaves/gif sets etc... so that they're archived!
I mostly just talk about the Silmarillion these days and plan on doing a third re-read of it relatively soon in which I take notes, so I'll probably make that everybody else's problem as well.
Important: I'm 100% pro-shipper / don't like; don't read / ship and let ship / your kink is not my kink and that's okay
Subscribing/Friending Policy:
After a few days of deep-diving I think I've figured out that there's concern about subscribing to journals of people you haven't interacted with? I fear my tumblr-centric brain does not understand this worry but you don't have to interact with me before subscribing though I am also delighted to interact with people!
All of my posts are public! I won't be posting much of anything personal (except for some poetry maybe) so anyone is welcome to subscribe and I'll grant you access!

Fandom Interests:
The Hobbit:I confess I am mainly just a bagginshield girlie - I've definitely read some interesting gen fic/stuff focused on other characters - but I don't have many thoughts outside of bagginshield
LotR:I do not have a lot of thoughts about LotR in general - all of my thoughts are generally post-lotr and end up heading into Silm territory - I just think it wrapped itself up very neatly and I don't have much to add to it - I love most of the characters haha special shout out though to Boromir <3
Silmarillion:I live here. I love almost every single character and want to talk about them all the time! The Raven Cycle:Listen, do I have coherent thoughts about this series? No. But what I do have is four books with sticky tabbed pages and a willingness to cry about the books
Narnia:I love the Pevensies with my whole heart & love reading fic for them but have not read the books since I was like 11 & have Zero Coherent thoughts about them :/

Poetry!I love Poetry!! Almost got a degree in it honestly but didn't work out Favorites writers: Richard Siken, Traci Brimhall, Rudy Francisco, Ada Limón, Andrea Gibson, Natlie Diaz I also write poetry! So that may or may not feature at some point.
Reading!My storygraph is listed in links & there's a running list of books read this year in the sticky below this) if anyone has read The Darkness Outside and wants to scream about it with me that would be so cool because I haven't emotionally recovered from that book since I read it I'm also trying to read more non-fiction so that's one of my general reading goals at the moment - not sure how much I'll post about that but maybe a lot, taking notes could be good for me
Music!And I love listening to music! About to hit my 30's and excited about it! Queer and don't feel like elaborating I'm originally from Columbia, South Carolina - grew up in the bible belt south for the first 24 years of my life! Which left me with a deep love of sweet tea, southern comfort food, and blasphemous metaphors in fiction. I now live in the Pacific Northwest and love it out here a lot more (mainly because of the weather, I have not great lungs and it is literally easier to breathe out here) I work in social security law as a legal assistant - got the job on accident and I fear I'm now actually really interested in legal stuff & want to transition into a different type of law at some point I don't plan on posting much about like any of this but figured this gives you a general idea about me

Some people worry about it, others really don't. You'll see some blogs with things like "Comment to be added," but that's mostly folks who want to keep theirs friends-locked. As long as you tell people what your policy is, like you just did, it's all fine.
