The Woes of Writing

The most infuriating thing lately is how my brain is still going 5000 miles an hour thinking about the Silmarillion and it will just hand me this perfectly scripted, scene blocked fic idea - like just a perfect scroll unrolling in my mind - i know half the characters line their motivations etc and I sit down and go to write and we get about three-quarters of the way through and then [radio static noises] like oh how does it end you ask? yes i’d love to fucking know that too…..so then I gotta grit my teeth and fight for my life to finish the damn thing 😭

Also the way I have this series with two parts and I’m trying to write either the prequel or part 3 and my brain is like hey have you considered like part 7 though? And yes I have actually but we're not there yet.

Ooof! I love it when my brain comes up with new ideas, but it would be quite nice to be able to actually write them down *and* also focus on one thing at a time :P

I am quite scatter brained, always doing multiple things at the same time, but with writing I find it very confusing if I have too many things going on *sigh*

Imagine being able to focus on only one thing haha I don't know how people do it! I have 47 active docs in ellipsus alone & more in scrivener!

And my brain hasn't slowed down for like three months haha I read the silmarillion and my brain hasn't shut up since xD but it's a fun time tbh <3
